The Asian Muslim Action Network (AMAN) is a unifying force for peace and social action in Asia. Its innovative programs have affected change and bridged political and religious divides since its inception in 1990. Its unique approach engages intellectuals, political and religious leaders, associations and activists of all faiths in dialogue that help resolve conflict and promote peace.With over 800 million Muslims, Asia has 70 percent of the world’s Muslim population. They face many challenges from mass poverty and corruption to social and political unrest. The present situation of growing violence and both state and non-state terrorism calls for a united response to address root causes of conflict.
