AMAN Asia collaborates with government institutions to ensure that our ideas and work have the support of the government to then carry it forward into legal policy, at the regional, national and regional levels. That way, our program can immediately benefit, especially in building peace and justice to even the most basic level of society.
AMAN Asia also works with the government to get financial support, because AMAN is a non-profit organization that relies its funding needs fully to donors.
In Indonesia, AMAN has collaborated with several government agencies, including the National Counter Terrorism Agency (NCTA – BNPT) to train 6400 interfaith women leaders in 32 provinces. The Ministry of Politics and Legal Affairs (Polhukam) and DFAT Australia initiated the first CSO forum of Sub Regional Meeting in August 2018. As recommended by the forum, AMAN Indonesia is continuing to advocate the existence of official CSO engagement in Sub Regional Meeting.
In advocating the agenda of women, peace and security, through AMAN Indonesia, collaboration with the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection and Coordinating Ministry of human development and culture, to facilitate development Local Action Plan on Protection and Empowerment of Women and Children in Social Conflict (RAN P3AKS) in 15 provinces. Currently AMAN Indonesia is preparing to review the 5 years implementation of NAP in the implementation of NAP P3AKS. This will be used to prepare the second generation of NAP with integration of Preventing Violent Extremism.
